Well hello everyone!
I clicked on my bookmark for my blog... and was asked to sign in.
Sign in?.... Um... "I don't know what email I used or my password" is the thought that crossed my mind. Huh. Oops. "I guess it really has been a while since Ive been on here." Well... obviously I got it figured out... well... sorta. It took me a password request sent to my email address and entering all four (yes 4) email addresses that I have with this password. Now I just realize that the email that my password was sent to was the email address I used. Duh. (Its always the last one you try! :) I finally managed to get logged on and realize my last post was on November 17, 2010. "Wow... I was addicted to this whole blogging thing. What happened?" were my next thoughts. I figured I'd update on everything that has happened recently (well in the last 2 1/2 months that I have not posted on here.
I finished up my fall semester at ISU. Although my GPA suffered a little bit compared to what it was like @ SWCC, I felt like it was a successful first semester at ISU. Classes are definately harder here than at SWCC, and finals proved to be the same way. I have met lots of good friends through work at the vet school and just going to classes in general. I worked a lot at the concession stands for basketball games over break. Here too I met many friends.
I worked at the Vet School over the winter break also. I took a week off to go home for Christmas, and managed to get New Years weekend off. Brad worked for 6 weekends in a row going to shows around the US and hauling cattle for the people he works for. He managed to get Christmans AND New Years weekends off. Both weekends which we went home for celebrations with family and friends.
January 4th I started a new job on campus. I'm no working some hours at the meat research lab on a protein/ mitochondrial research project for a Dr. here at the college. I work with 2 grad students, 1 Brazilian College instructor, and 2 other Undergraduate students. I run a lot of tests and random solution mixtures for the research. I'm just a lab assistant. Dishes are my scpecialty and become a daily chore at work. I have a lot of fun working in the lab and doing the research. It has helped me out alot with the classes that I am taking this semester.
This spring semester, so far, has managed to be easier than that of the last semester. Key words: So Far. I am enrolled in Chemistry 177 (general chemistry), Biology 212 and 212Lab (second level in biology), Animal Science 216 (introduction to equine/ horses), as well as FSHN 101 (Food Science and Human Nutrition). I had to drop Animal Science 214 and Lab (Domestic Animal Anatomy and Physiology) because it was proving to be too much this semester. I picked up FSHN 101 instead. This is a class required for the major I just recently picked up. I'm still working on my Major of Animal Science; Pre-Vet Option, but have now added Meat Science as a minor. I took a Meats course last fall and I really enjoyed it so I decided to pick up a minor in that area.
I no longer will be able to graduate on time due to my schedule change. I will have to graduate the following semester, if I push, otherwise I will be a Super Senior when I graduate (5 years undergraduate all together). I still plan on applying to vet school but have really been considering possibly going for my masters and maybe even PHD before that. Just depends on how my cards are laid out at the end of Undergraduate school. We will see what God has planned for me, and I'll just follow his stoney pebble path.
Brad and I have been extremely busy recently. Brad went to the Denver Stock Show with Trausch Farms again this year (just like the last few years now). I stayed home and put in hours at the vet school and at the lab. Brad also has been around the country down south picking up calves and bulls for Trausch's. Hes been putting in alot of hours, but he really is enjoying his job. I see him about as often as I can stand ;). Its nice being home alone some times, but at other times its nice to have him home. He just recently bought a Ford Explorer. He's been driving his boss' farm truck since his car quit running. He gets the explorer next week. I'm excited because he'll be using less $ towards gas and putting more towards bills! :)
Moose and Sasha have been Moose and Sasha. Sasha is still a "big sister"... she likes to "tattle" on Moose and get him into trouble. Moose... like most boys... likes to get into trouble. A lot. He's recently into the "lets pick up whatever I can get my mouth on and chew it up" game. Its a constant battle trying to keep him in your sight while trying to do everything else at home. Sasha has learned to come "tell" me if he's being naughty. She always finds some way to get my attention. The two of them love the snow. Sasha hates the cold weather...but she loves playing in the snow. Moose is so butterball fat it makes him no difference.
Hopefully I'll be posting some new posts sooner than in 2 1/2 months again. :) Hope you all enjoyed being caught up on my life. Enjoy.
Happy Late Holidays! :)
<3 Roz
